Maynard

C&C, please
-
When I saw the topic name, I thought Maynard was supposed to be the candy "Maynards". Now, I see that I was terribly wrong.
Personally, I don't like what you've done with the render. It may be your style and I'm totally fine with that. However, the background looks awesome! Nice font you used there. Overall, a fairly nice accomplishment, I say. Good work.
(\__/) (='.'=)This is Bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your

I think Adobe® Photoshop® is SCARY!

it's not what he's done--it's what he's made, from scratch.
you still doing that without the pen tool? crazy stuff. I like the "vector," and I like the bg, but not together. Dude seems like he was just plopped in there kinda... know what I mean? vector's good enough for me to forget about that minor point though :P

I've never even heard of a candy called "Maynards". lol
Your opinion, but hey, Thanks.

Yeah, I sorta feel like I'm cheating or something, because I don't have the pen tool or any application that can create a true vector. But I like doing them. And yeah, I get what you mean. I went through 3 backgrounds before I finally settled with that one. Nothing fits well except a blank gradient, and I didn't want to leave it like that. But thanks.

What do you use if you don't have the pen tool?
-
I cannot deny the great vectoring you've done. What I meant was that it just doesn't fit in with the background. Sure they have similar colours. However, the clean look on the stock appears to be opposing the background's texture if you know what I mean.
Also, Maynards as in Swedish Berries, Fuzzy Peach and the sort. Recently there's been a commercial in Canada.

Yeah. I know. Couldn't figure out a way that I liked around that.

The render doesn't go with the background IMO. I don't like the stroke thing on the render either. WTH indeed.
