Heres my failure of an attempt

I think I know what 3 of my problems were. One, was the color doesn't really go with that, two, I don't think I smudged it right, and three, the render was a little to small. I'm pretty positive there are more, but those are all I can think of right now.

is that mario render a common render and I'm missing out? Cuz I've always liked that render but I figured it was just Dan's sig itself.

Version 2 Is a good sig man one of the best ive seen so far but dont ruin the border put border on top and take v2. also blending some more in v2 would be nice.

Yeah, I just noticed the border problem, And went back to fix it. That happened because i unhid the render AFTER i made the border. Foolish mistake, yet easily fixed. Anyway... Fixed version of V2:

And thanks for the compliment BTW. You're not the only one who thinks so. Some guy on a designs site added me on MSN, and asked me to join as a design staff. As if i'm that good. 
Also... another thank you for making these great tuts. A few more of these, and I'll be getting pretty good.
