normality such as in statistics can be defined by a preset and repeating pattern, or any visible trend that may occur naturally or unnaturally. Therefore since all things fall to chaos ( thermodynamics ) normality cannot ever truly be recognized as such since all pattern with eventually descend into chaos. Since a state of norm cannot exist, as a result a state of being abnormal cannot exist as a result.
simply put no one can be normal or abnormal because everyone is in a state of ever changing chaos.

this is close, imo.
Normal does not exist because everyone is different.
Therefore everyone is abnormal.
Thus abnormal becomes normal.
But since normal does not exist neither does abnormal.
So therefore normal and abnormal do not exist.
The first line fails.
"Normal" is a concept relating to the common occurrence of a variable, in this case a human personality trait. "Normal" is simply what occurs most often in a sample, somewhat like a watered down stereotype.
Therefore, since the four lines following the first go on the premise that the first line is true, the entire statement fails.

Normal doesn't have to be based on personality, does it? To define something like humans as normal, you have to take every single human and find an average of EVERYTHING. Hair color, size, complexion, weight, lifespan, personality, molecular structure, EVERTHING until you find an example of your 'Normal' person. Anything that differs in ANY way is abnormal, which is everyone. That doesn't make Abnormal the new Normal, just that abnormality is common. Abnormality in and of itself might be thought of as normal, but as everyone is abnormal in their own special way, there is no 'Normal' abnormality, but there also is. Typically in people you get large groups of people with the same type of abnormality, such as skin color or mental retardation (which isn't to say they're related, grow up). So caucasians might be commonly abnormal, but not normal, as a larger percent of the population is of a different race.
But I'm getting the feeling that I'm just repeating what's already been said. Coexist, yo.

Interesting but why does normal and abnormal not exist? I disagree with this because when you look at this from different perspectives (ex. some intelligent being over us or maybe some supernatural being) we are all normal to them and nothing else and from our own perspectives and from the perspectives of beings below us we are nothing but abnormal. I hope you all understand this. I welcome debaters, I just love philosophical threads like these.
