Graphics Card.
Hi. sorry if this is the wrong place, i didnt know where to put it.
i current have a "acer notebook 4211c" and need a decent graphics card. Images are a good quality but when entering text it goes pixelated 
please can someone suggest a descent one please.

Uhm.. get a computer, notebooks suck.
But anyway invest in something along the lines of these:
ATI Mobility Radeon 9800
ATI Mobility Radeon X700
ATI Mobility Radeon X800
Or the nvidia equivalents

That doesn't really sound like a graphics card issue. Sounds like you've got some settings wrong.

Is this in Photoshop? Check the anti-aliasing (aa symbol in the toolbar for the type tool). It sounds like it's set to 'none.'

Also, if you're trying to upgrade a laptop, chances are slim to none that you will have the option. Most laptops are standard built with "integrated" graphics cards, which means you can't pull it out, they're built in. So you probably won't be able to upgrade that, even if you wanted to.

Yeah only MXM compatible laptops can upgrade and thats only if your bios supports it. Not to mention your heatsink too.
