    Thats why I only trust AVG for telling me if I have any viruses on my computer.

    i didnt trust it it popped up and installed itself ;s i never pressed yes to anything ;s and it got popups, completly taking over IE (I use Firefox though) And opened all kinda popups, from porn to gym classes even a pop up trying to sell me viagra ;s

    AVG has a pretty bad detection rate according to tests. The best free antivirus was Avira and the best paid Kaspersky if I recall correctly.

    Download firefox then download adblocker from firefox
    that only used to happen to me when i used internet explorer

    Just on the topic of the Virus, I've caught a virus very similar to this twice. The first time I lost the fight and I was forced to format my PC and remove all the system files, then install Windows again. Because I wanted to upgrade I was able to install Win 7.

    The second time was my victory.
    I recognised the symptoms and I was able to load up Norton Utilities (Yes... Norton) and stop the startup program that opened the file when the PC was booted up. I also was able to get into the registry files and remove all the files that were associated with the program, as well as a heap of cleaning up.

    Whole process took me about a day. =_=

    Eset Smart Security ftw!

    I've always used that program and never had any stupid viruses/malewares/trojans.
