Sadly, you cannot use torrent links here. Warez discussion is prohibited and have serious action taken against. If the mods allow you to post torrent links, that means others will rush to spam torrent links too. Its like One bad apple spoils the whole bunch.

After some discussions with other staff members, we are NOT allowing any sort of torrents to be posted here. They are associated with piracy and we won't allow it.
In order for this to work, you will need to ask permission to use any material. Also, you will have to use other means to upload/download any files for your resource pack.
Thanks.

Torrents files and the the program itself may be legal to use and download files with as long as the file(s) isn't warez, HOWEVER, it's main traffic comes from people using it to distribute and download pirated materials and all of the main torrent indexing sites where you go to search for torrents are also full of said pirated torrents, so this is why most people associate warez directly with torrents.
Torrents also rely on seeders to get the best download speed, which you are not going to get if you're hosting the torrent by yourself, so I think it would be more practical and also because of the implications of using torrents if you split up the files into smaller sizes (like 200mb ea. or something) and hosted them on file hosting websites, after you got permission from the users you're taking resources from.

Use file front or rapidshare.

Sigh.
PM people and ask them. And, I am not saying it again. No torrents. Split the files up.
Thanks.

Put each of the ressources in their own category (: render, psd, etc) then create a folder named 2gb ressource put those files in it. Then make it a Rar archive and split it into 2-6 parts depending on how fast your internet connection is, upload then share. P.S: Use megaupload to upload the files and make sure you have an account for it so the links don't get deleted after 30 days or 2 weeks.

You can upload a single 2gb file if you want to, that's your choice, just don't upload it as a torrent.
