The eyes look a bit squinted though, thats probs what makes him look less like the real thing. Otherwise, looks really realistic.
Kk, I'll have to do something about the eyes, thank ya.

Do you need a certain kind of tablet to do digital paintings of this caliber? I have a Genius tablet but something tells me it won't be sufficient lol.

Not sure, I use a wacom bamboo tablet, which is the cheapest model wacom sells, so I don't think so, but I've never used a Genius so I'm also not entirely sure.

    Any tablet does btw.

I can see you took time on this one, you're getting good at proportions. Face in particular is good. Would like to see you paint something other than characters though.

I'm working on my first scenery painting which I'm hoping to finish by Christmas, the focus is on a tree, but you can see in the distance as well. It's inspired by Mokoto Shinkai's background art if you've ever seen his animated work.

Thanks mate, his avatar is familiar and I know I've seen some of his work before. Will watch.

    He's on theluminarium.net

Some of his works are just simply fantastic and no problem I think you're capable of being as good as him, if not better, you just need to branch out from just doing characters all the time

Good details in the face but I'm not feeling it with the clothing. HOwever the 2nd version is definitely better than the first
