Default TPS #1 The Poetry Slam voting

Welcome to the first Poetry Slam on the Void.
    First to 10 votes wins.
    No voting for yourself.
Please read all poetry before making your decision.
Thank you to all who entered this round, some great entries.
Theme was Emotions. Winner will pick next theme.

    Darkraiserz

    As the day passes,
    the flower wilts.
    And so as my hope,
    waning like the moon.
    The blazing fires,
    of my soul.
    Are slowly dying,
    growing dimmer each day.
    A footstep beyond my barriers,
    a short hop across.
And I could hold on to you,
    but alas.
    The strength of death,
    has broken my will.
    Goodbye my love,
you will forever be in my mind.

    Slave

    Her Soul

This soul is not a right, it is not to be shared or thrown away
It is something that ignites, will never die, will never fray

It grows with each passing day casting illumination,
Giving her reason to nurture her creation

The small little chest beating it's heart next to her own
Will make her heart swell, she knows she will never feel alone

When the first smile breaks the sleeping face of calm
Or when the first babbled word finally turns into mom

She will risk it all and give everything up
This life she has created is more than enough

Every day she will cast her eyes to this miracle of life
She will wake up once again tomorrow and know that everything is right

This soul is a gift, a blessing, true love in it's truest shine
This soul that they gave me, is now truly mine.

I dedicate this poem and all my love to my two wonderful boys,
Roland Gordon Winfield Swanson & Raiden Gabriel Winfield Swanson

    JDragon

Deafen, the voices that scream at me, gleefully, they’re trying to appeal to me, They’re whispering, I can hear them now, from different directions, conflicting with their reasoning, shouting, not understanding what they’re expecting of me, shrouded only in their memories, False intentions, empty promises they’ve fed to me, they tire me, speaking relentlessly, Propaganda that’s only fed to me, filth flipped to sound golden, but no matter how it’s polished, how innocently spoken, it’s mere presence is solely provoking, make cowards into giants, the soft spoken into tyrants, these voices, no matter the shapes and sizes, they don’t discriminate, they whisper, whisper only words of hate.

    Domino

The Twisted web of love I weave
will make her stay or make her leave
With no emotions for my only friend
Our love won't make it till the end
I did not love her, nor did I care
Her distraught face her unkept hair
The new love I had would keep me going
I loved another without her knowing
My life it seemed was now complete
Finding new love was no little feat
With no more anger and no more pain
New love would bring new life again
Love had healed my broken heart
No longer would we be apart
I took her love and gave her mine
She rocked my world and blew my mind

    Hoshiko

    Indecision Affliction
Why? I don’t know how to answer you.
The same questions plagued me endlessly,
    This nightmare of uncertainty,
Has everything I’ve said been untrue?
    It is impossible to continue.
My rationale will not let my mind be truly free
    Or make my heart less empty;
There is no meaning to construe.

But why now does misfortune haunt me so?
Everywhere I run, the door is locked and desolation encroaches.
Slowly, our ocean of memories becomes shallow.
Surrounding me is the gaze of a thousand judges
And there is nothing I can say; I should’ve done this long ago.
Now there is only waiting for when the dawn approaches.

Slave for sure! That was super pretty and very well written in how the poem slowly developed with the child =D

Domino you had one really good line but you spelled my name wrong in it so I had to dock you! :/

Finding new love was no little feat

    thanks ppl

For me it was really hard, I loved dominos because I felt like that before. Hoshi's was also epic, I felt one or two lines were off tho Dragon imo would have got my vote , but his lay out made it hard to read :P I suggest next time breaking it down into like poem paragraphs, lol danno the real word of it. In the end I picked Darks because it made me think the most about the situation and allowed me to come up with a story all my own.

Well done guys they are all beautifully written and well told feelings <3

    Radi's one of a kind gift <3
