If you pull the bottom c4d down and gave the background are some accurate smudging it would be kill.

As you said it is dark, really needs to be lightened up and maybe a tad less contrasted.
From what I can see, effects and colours look nice
Try some soft brushing and fractalwork maybe?

That little bright green area needs to be smudged with the flow.
The littlest adjustments count the most.
