On a more serious note why would they pass this bill during a recession in America there's people making money off of youtube with the help of Facebook that use copyright pictures audio etc, also if Facebook and YouTube gets shutdown that would put a lot more people out of jobs which would be really stupid.

That is true, very true and one thing I have been saying about SOPA, and logically it doesn't fit with what the governments wants to do by making more jobs. It will, infact, take away thousands of jobs, but like I said half these old men don't even know that for one and two if you are paid enough to vote one way on a bill by someone I think you will vote that way. I mean this bill is only to help corporations out a shit load. It doesn't even effect the government at all.

nah, I live in the Netherlands, we Got "Rutte" ( a nice guy) but also some Jerk Named "Wilders". Wilders is Good at complainting about how bad stuff is, and got popularity for that. he also wants people from other countries to go back and live their (especially people from Turkey).

Unfortunately, Rutte needs his support on every thing he does, or else the opposition wins, so that's a bit of a problem too

Well, it has begun, Goodbye Megaupload. US Govt. shut down Megaupload.com today and people are saying mediafire and other sites like it will be shut down within a week to two weeks time, so all your files all packs, all .psd files anything stored on those sites is gonna be gone pretty soon. This is ridiculous.

I honestly don't think the Megaupload case etc.. had anything to do with SOPA, I mean the bill hasn't even passed yet so it can't have. The gov already have the ability to shut down sites that infringe on copyright - take TVShack for example, SOPA just gives the ability to media companies, and judging by what they did to Youtube - theyre pretty ruthless!
You can imagine if the internet gets limited so much people will start giving the finger to their ISPs.

You know a part of me wants to see SOPA go through, it will make for a great watch at the backlash.
