Canyon - Early Stage

I'm trying to get more into / better at photo manipulations. This is my first attempt at a "nature" manipulation and my second manipulation period (though it was stated that my first is not actually a manipulation and just an image with a few edits, so this could technically be my first I guess).....

Anywho... Entire thing is crafted out of other things and duplicates, though I'm guess you'll probly be able to see that.

It's early stage overall, I plan to add things to this to make it more interesting. As it is now it's something that could have been taken with a camera, so kinda boring.

Would love some opinions on how it looks so far. Coloring, shading, etc... Does it look pretty natural to you guys, or is it plainly obvious that it was crated from several different things? (To my novice eye it looks pretty natural). Any tips/advice to go along with the criticism would be much appreciated!

Looks good so far! Watch the edges on the shoreline, they are a bit choppy at the bottom and a bit transparent at the front but I'm sure you will fix it up as you go along. It would be really cool if you put something landing in that lake (SPACESHIP?!?!)

I'll try to get the shoreline a bit better on the close end. And yeah, I'll be doing a lot of little touch-ups as I progress that will probly make the water look better.

Yeah, I'll be putting something in. Came up with an idea a bit earlier, working on making it a reality now.
